Population and Transportation in the Modern Era of International Terrorism
It is important as populations expand to work on the Flow of Transportation components, which effect our civilization. We must improve the flows without increasing cods in the wheel with over burdensome rules for companies or operators. We have seen in recent years the slow moving steering committees, long-term bureaucrat heads, confines on R and D, duplication of regulations by states, pet projects, linear decision making and pure partisan politics; all of which impede the flows of transportation. None of which streamline it or make our transportation systems more efficient. When transportation fails us we are put into a very bad situation. For instance in 1892 we saw the collapse of 4 railroads, right after the banks failed, 10's of thousands became unemployed and thus the panic of 1893. If we study history we see that when transportation fails stability becomes uncertain and chaos can ensue. We saw during the recent Blackout power outage of 2003 when the subways stopped, traffic signals stopped, gas stations could not pump and the transportation stopped. Although people kept calm you can see the transportation issues with the movement of people. On the day and days following the International Terrorist events on 9-11 we saw the grounding of all commercial aviation transportation, taking out a major sector of travel. Many people who were stranded soon found out that there are a multitude of other methods of transportation. These other forms of transportation included Amtrak, rental cars, Greyhound and Trailways, Tour buses, private cars, motor homes, trucks, etc. These back up systems in place of air travel may not have been as convenient, but a heck of a lot more convenient that the expeditions of Lewis and Clark or great migrations of families in covered wagons. Even the first automobile to travel across the United States set a record; it took exactly 66 days. Today you can drive it in four or five if you have to. Today we have a lot more people to think about and move around and we need a cohesive plan with redundancy incase of failure. Think about it. Then of course the huge fleets of the grocery chains and giant companies like Wal-Mart. You have Publix, Albertson's, HEB, Kroger and Piggly Wiggly, which all with enormous fleets of their own. Then you have the large contract carriers like Swift, JB Hunt, Werner, Covenant, US Express, Dick Simon, etc. and the LTL Carriers? Less then Load Companies with gargantuan fleets and even with all the consolidation of companies like; Fed Ex Ground buying up Viking, American Freightways and others to form the third largest LTL; the mega merger of Roadway and Yellow Freight; the bankruptcy of Consolidated Freightways; these fleets have continued to buy fuel to get the products to market, deliver the materials and components to keep the world's economies turning. All this is made possible because the fuel is readily available at price threshold that is livable. Without it America stops. Sweet Lies, The Aspartame Issue Aspartame activists are constantly being attacked because all data are a matter of public record from congressional records to government documents. Now there is even a movie, Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World (www.docworkers.com) that exposes how Don Rumsfeld got aspartame approved even though the FDA said no. He would and did do this for reasons of selfgratification and future job titles and kudos? It is a horrible travesty that those photos were shown on the Internet and TV where prisoners were involved in sexual activities with their Arab Brothers in compromising homosexual and adultery affair activity. What a complete low point in their lives to be publicly humiliated for their activities in the prison. We should not exploit their willful and lustful sexual advances on our female prison guards or their own Arab brother prisoners. How could these prisoners betray their Allah and their family names in such disgrace? We should not tell the world of their misdeeds in those prisons. What happens in prison stays in prison. If those prisoners have gay, homosexual, extra marital affairs we should not be taking pictures for any other reason than to psychoanalyze their current or rapidly deteriorating mental health status. Homeless, Trash, Drugs and Transient Issues In Police Magazine I read a great article about transient problems and how they were solved for the betterment of all in Ft Collins, Colorado. This program was called (COP) Community Oriented Policing. In one area downtown there were three homeless shelters 53 liquor stores and a nearby river where the homeless were. As they cleaned up Shanty Town they actually picked up trash and had a special task force. They filled Dump Trucks full of trash and junk; piles of 40 ounce beers bottles. The police enforced the litter laws and open container laws and saw to it that the homeless people were signed in at the Homeless shelters, which was good due to the soon approaching winter weather of that season. Predator or Prey; Hunter or the Hunted; Teacher or the Pupil; Winning or Losing? This is a thought on the study of Home and Away Games, The Best Team Always Has the Advantage. Predators and Prey; The Hunters and The Hunted. Recently Rumsfeld asked his brightest commanders to come up with strategies to combat Islamic Extremists Terrorists. Here is an idea. Set up a couple of Humvees, which would drive at normal speed a head of a van, which had interior 1" steel walls. Drive the Humvees in front and use remote control to draw fire. Put mannequins in the Humvees. And a Big America flag to piss them off. The van will have SWAT Team Special Forces. When the humvees are shot at stop them and the van unloads and surrounds the area from the rear and special forces shoot each one between the eyes, cut off the heads stick them on the posts out front of the houses where they were found and just get back into the van and drive around again. MORAL ARMOR Condemns Home and Business Seizure Law Nothing could be more alarming for Americans than what I read this morning: "The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that local governments may seize people's homes and businesses - even against their will - for private economic development." This is a deplorable moral atrocity to perpetrate against Americans and must be reversed. Those responsible should know that they have destroyed their own credibility in the eyes of a free people, and should now go join the insurgency in Iraq.
